As today is black friday, here is a short film that expresses kind of how I feel about it. Ham, from Eric Wareheim. It stars John C. Reilly (Wreck it Ralph) in a fat suit. These are characters who make a visual impact. It is a satire on American consumerism, and while being disgusting and gruesome, I find myself smiling. It has shock value.

I recently watched the Will Ferrell/Zach Galifianakis movie “The Campaign.” Zach Galifianakis is really growing on me as an actor.

Here are two videos with essentially the same conceit.  A comedian talking about verbal comedy while engaging in physical comedy. Zach’s is more contemporary, while Van Dyke’s is more old school.
