That looks like an excellent TV program. I’d like to see the first half. Too often the history of animation is told as a part of the history of cinema, but that is just the tail end of the real story… The history of cartooning. I think more animators should see themselves not just as the descendants of Freddie Moore and Milt Kahl, but the continuity of Daumier, Hogarth and Cruickshank. This is the first time I’ve seen a documentary that makes that point.
